Privacy Policy

We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. Here's how we handle your data.

1. Introduction

We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website and services.

2. Information We Collect

We collect personal information that you provide to us, including but not limited to:

  • Name, email address, and contact information
  • Payment and billing information
  • Profile information and equipment listings
  • Communication data through our chat feature
  • Usage data and device information

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information for purposes including:

  • Providing and maintaining our services
  • Processing transactions and rental agreements
  • Communicating with you about our services
  • Improving our website and user experience
  • Ensuring the security and integrity of our platform

4. Sharing of Your Information

We may share your information with third parties in certain situations, such as:

  • With your consent
  • To comply with legal obligations
  • With service providers who assist in our operations
  • In connection with a business transaction (e.g., merger or acquisition)

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including:

  • The right to access your personal information
  • The right to rectify inaccurate information

7. Children's Privacy

Our services are not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

8. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

Please read this section carefully — it affects your legal rights. Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to this Privacy Policy, our handling of your personal information, or your use of our website and services shall be resolved through final and binding individual arbitration, rather than in court, except that you may assert claims in small claims court if your claims qualify.

  • Arbitration will be administered by a recognized arbitration provider under its then-current rules, before a single arbitrator, and will take place in the United States.
  • Class action waiver. You and Medelen agree that each may bring claims against the other only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, or representative proceeding.
  • Opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing legal@medelen.org within 30 days of first accepting this Privacy Policy, stating your name and intent to opt out.
  • This section does not prevent either party from seeking injunctive or equitable relief for the protection of intellectual property or confidential information.

If any portion of this arbitration provision is found unenforceable, the remainder shall remain in effect, except that the class action waiver is not severable from the rest of this section.

9. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the 'Last updated' date.
